Because you want a handsome guy to accompany you at your wedding to capture photos full of atmosphere, humour and stories for you to find yourself in.
To me, a wedding is a celebration of the love of two people in the circle of those closest to them. That's why you want not only an experienced pro at your wedding, for whom your utmost satisfaction is the absolute priority, but also someone who will fit in perfectly with the wedding party. I don't spoil any fun, but I also listen or remain silent when I should be silent. Perhaps that's why people often ask me at weddings if I'm a friend from student days or a relative of one of the newlyweds. Clear evidence of my desire to be everywhere. I'll be happy to convince you in person - let's meet casually ☺
"I can't capture eternity, but you will be moved from the heart and laughing for the rest of your life over the photos I deliver to you."
My undisguised ambition is to be your family chronicler - I want my photos to become a family heirloom - not just for you, but for your children and your children's children.
I am a seasoned wedding scout with over 350 couples immortalized. I've been lucky enough to impress international judges several times when they've given awards in a global competition. I also used to be a judge for one of these. Wedding photography really matters to me. Not only is it my livelihood, but it is also my love. So much so that I even studied photography at university and wrote an 80-page undergraduate thesis on it. For years, I have organized the largest gathering of wedding photographers in the country with the aim of cultivating this mistakenly neglected genre. Besides that, I also organize workshops and have been a speaker at conferences abroad.
"I photograph to tell a story. I'm a smile hunter."
I'm driven by endless curiosity, but I don't photograph everything like a senseless person. I use all my senses of perception. Figuratively and literally. I don't just photograph what I see. I photograph mainly by hearing, smell and touch. Rather than spend an hour arranging a hanging dress on a tree, I always run to where I can hear the wedding party laughing. I also have a good sense of smell for good eye-moments. The result is images full of humanity that caress your soul. I deliberately avoid trendy crutches, looking for and finding the signature gems. That's why I see myself as a visual storyteller whose method is photojournalism, humor and curiosity.
I always try to capture the wedding day in the full range of emotions - from the nervousness of the morning preparations to the exuberant fun of the evening party. I care about the traditional moments of the day as well as the seemingly banal. That's why I never miss anything crucial, but at the same time, I don't forget that your aunt who has just poured champagne deserves to be immortalised too. I love this and in turn reject romanticized consumerism, wedding materialism and ephemeral visual trends.
I know I have no small ambitions - I honestly see wedding photography as a document of human relationships with the promise of timelessness that future generations will appreciate. For me, weddings are visual photo essays about life's big steps and the seemingly small details that accompanied them. I am all about the humanistic dimension of photography. I am about you and your stories.
